Pink volunteer Pauline was born and raised in Gothenburg and had an interest in computers from a very early age. Her specific interest in coding started at the university, but somewhere along the way she got very interested in science and biochemistry, so she instead became a biomedical scientist and worked in hospitals. But, the hospital field didn’t suit her so a year ago she decided to completely switch careers. She attended a bootcamp in frontend development at Technigo and after that she got enrolled at Academic Work accelerated learning program to learn Java. Today she works with healthcare still, but as a developer at Chorus!

Why did you join Pink? "I joined Pink about a year and a half ago because I think a diverse workplace always gonna be the best. I see the main problem being that to few women/non-binary people get exposed to coding and therefore, a lack of numbers in educated women and minorities in IT. So, for me Pink work with something very important. I also love to educate and help others! And as a women who switched career in the middle of my life I feel that I can inspire people in the same situation."
